Cancer Treatment
Cancer is one of the most serious health issues of our time and can be controlled with various treatment methods. The most commonly used methods in cancer treatment are radiotherapy, surgery, and chemotherapy. Less frequently used treatments include hormone therapy and biological therapies.
Treatment Methods
- Radiotherapy: Uses high-energy beams to destroy cancer cells.
- Surgery: Involves the surgical removal of cancerous tissue.
- Chemotherapy: Uses drugs to kill cancer cells or stop their growth.
Treatment methods are often used alone or in combination. The first treatment applied is called primary treatment, followed by adjuvant therapy (such as chemotherapy after surgery).
